Looking forward to seeing everyone on Friday (between 3 pm and 8 pm) for the required pre-registration for the fair.  We will continue the planning process with the Fair Association Meeting that will begin at 6:30 – all are welcome to attend. Thank you for completing the survey – the drawing will be conducted at the end of the meeting.

We have also attached a draft of the 2021 Fairbook to help you decide class and lots you will be entering. 

Please review the points below that apply to 2021 only:

 

4-H Age: for 2021 instate programming UConn 4-H will recognize members who would have aged out in 2020.  Therefore, if you have not turned 20 prior to 1/1/21 you are eligible for UConn 4-H programs including the Middlesex and New Haven County 4-H Fair 

 

Recordbooks: - for 2021 we will not be requiring proof of recordbook evaluations.  Members will have no required recordkeeping for participation in the fair.  FOR 2022 - members will need to submit records for both 2021 and 2022.  We will understand with lack of meeting time that the 2021 records might be shorter than usual.

 

Exhibit eligibility: for 2021 we will accept any exhibits created or completed from October 1, 2019 through the present. Usually it’s only one calendar year - but with no live fair last year we will accept 2 years’ worth of work. 

 

COVID Rules: UConn covid rules and policies are ever changing and most likely will be STRICTER than state guidelines. Participants will be made aware of all rules and must understand as a UCONN program we will have to follow the university rules and guidelines. 

 

Attached are the forms needed in case you want to prepare them at home to expedite the registration process.  Parent signatures are required on several forms.  They include:

 

1.       Main exhibitor form required from everyone

2.       Overnight forms and camping forms – required from ANYONE staying on grounds – youth must have a parent staying with them outside of the hours of operation

3.       Livestock registration forms for each species to register verified animals in their fair classes - Livestock Entry fees will be collected during registration (.25 for each rabbit & bird, $1 each for all other animals)

4.       Over the Clover forms (see fairbook for specific rules)

5.       Almost a clover forms (see fairbook for specific rules) – for this year must complete an exhibitor form
