Are others using Avenza to distribute and present their maps? Did you
get this email: “Important Update - Avenza Map Store Changes”
I have been using it for many years, but this seems to change things.
Will not be able to update or upload any new content. A couple of
emails to Avenza confirmed this and didn’t add much to it.
Does anybody know more about this?

The patch addresses a vulnerability to SQL injection attacks that can happen on registered feature services. It is recommended by Esri that you install this patch to address this security concern. Is anyone using a Bad Elf Mini GPS with ACORN?

Would someone with experience with this be willing to help me understand what is going on here? Nothing I do gets me around 25cm, only more or less, and I'm not sure if what is being reported is correct.

With the RTK via NTRIP setting (I'm using VRS3_RTX acorn.uconn.edu:2101), it says I should get 25cm accuracy, but I am typically getting 1 meter (.7-1.4 typically). When this happens, it reports "RTK FLOAT."

I thought I would pass along a bug we have encountered with several of our clients that upgraded to ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5 on Windows. The content of the dashboards and web apps was not loading fully. The only fix we found was to clear their browser cache to the point of this becoming a daily activity. In case you are not aware, Esri is deprecating support for concurrent licenses, also sometimes called network licenses, for ArcGIS Pro and City Engine. This also applies to the extensions for these products as well.

Esri stopped selling new concurrent licenses back in 2022. Starting in December of this year, all maintenance renewal quotes will switch concurrent licenses to the equivalent named user types. Some of you may remember that a couple of weeks ago I reported a big bug with the Field Calculator tool and using the newly supported SQL expressions. It ignored the "selected features" option and would overwrite all values in the table. This did not happen if using Arcade, Python or VBScript. Only when using SQL expression was this an issue.

Anyone using ArcGIS Server with ArcGIS Online (no Portal)?

I cannot see a services in any ArcGIS Online site that comes from ArcGIS Server when I am off the network, but when I am on the network (or VPN'd to it), I can see them.

I noticed that in ArcGIS Server Manager > Sharing > Portal URL, it says I am not logged in. I’m wondering if this is the issue. I tried the default arcgis.com that the documentation says to keep and I tried https://connecticut.maps.arcgis.com/ (I'm at UConn and this is our organization login) and a bunch of user

For those that might be using CityWorks, it apparently has a vulnerability via IIS that can allow access to Remote Code Execution (RCE). As I understand it, threat actors may exploit if the web application has overprivileged IIS identity permissions. Additionally, Trimble noted some deployments may have inappropriate attachment directory configurations and recommended that attachment directory root configuration be limited to folders/subfolders which only contain attachments.

Figured I would pass along some information I uncovered after 2 days of debugging a geoprocessing error in ArcServer 11.3

If you have VMWare Tools 12.5 installed on your server, there is a dll that causes issues with the geoprocessing soc on ArcServer. You will need to downgrade the version to resolve the problem, below is a link to the tech article outlining the issue.
