Pawan Dhingra, Chair, Sociology Department, Tufts University. Topic related to his book: Life Behind the Lobby: Indian American Motel Owners and the American Dream. His first book on second-generation immigrant communities was the award-winning Managing Multicultural Lives: Asian American Professionals and the Challenge of Multiple Identities . His co-curated exhibition, Beyond Bollywood: Indian Americans Shape the Nation opened at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History at the end of February.
