For those interested in my LiDAR question...
Joseph Young/Maine GeoLibrary and Neil MacGaffey/MassGIS responded that they jointly submitted a proposal for Lidar collection in Maine (central) and Massachusetts (Berkshire, Hampden, Hampshire Counties and the portions of Blackstone Valley that lack LiDAR).
They are waiting to hear back from USGS as to whether or not the proposal will be selected for funding.

Jane - MassGIS, in partnership with the Maine GeoLibrary, submitted a proposal to the USGS 3DEP program. Our pre-proposal was accepted and we are now waiting to hear back as to whether or not we will be selected for funding. The proposal was to acquire elevation data from LiDAR for Berkshire, Hampden, and Hampshire Counties as well as for the portion of the Blackstone Valley that lacks LiDAR-based elevation data.

Subject: Future Lidar plans/potentials for Massachusetts?
Hi NEARC,
I'm hoping someone could help me identify future planned/potential Lidar-related initiatives (by any agency) for Massachusetts.
I'm reading through the materials put out by http://nationalmap.gov/3DEP/ but I'm not clear if/what partnerships are in place to go ahead with these priority areas, or of initiatives by other entities that may be in the works.
I'll summarize personal responses back to the listserv.
Thank you!
Jane Miller
