This is being sent to the New Haven, Middlesex & 4-H Fair Distribution Lists (It is possible that some of you might get the message more than once)
We are again holding a "necessary" meeting for kids, their parents and volunteers who are planning on exhibiting at the fair this August. The dates are:
Thursday, May 24 from 6:30-about 8 at the Middlesex County Extension Center (directions are located at the end of this message or Wednesday, June 6 from 6:30-about 8 at the New Haven County Extension Center (directions are attached to this message.
Also attached to this memo are the 2018 Fair and Show Regulations for animal exhibitors.
Both meetings are the same – you only need to attend one to get all the information you will need to participate in the 4-H Fair.
By attending, you will learn everything you need to participate successfully at the fair - you could leave this meeting completely registered - no more paperwork to worry about!!
Our agenda will include:
1. Updates on layout of fair grounds
2. overnight sign-up and procedures
3. check in process for all exhibitors, home arts exhibitors and livestock exhibitors
4. expectations for exhibitors including how to set up your exhibits and car of them during the weekend
5. review of new rules – including information about an important change in Home arts/Record book entering
6. 2018 Fair registration
Some of the rules we will be highlighting are critically important. Everyone exhibiting (and a parent) must attend. This is your opportunity for questions and answers to clarify anything unclear.
Every family attending the meeting will receive a free parking pass. .

We have also attached the 2018 CT Fair and Show Rules and Regulations - please review if you are showing animals. The 2018 4-H Fair book will be on line shortly, along with necessary registration forms will be held at the Middlesex Extension Center.
