This is a general announcement of positions at the Math department at
the University of British Columbia. We would be greatful if you forward
this information to any candidates who may be interested.

The Mathematics Department at UBC is hiring three tenure track assistant
professors, focusing on the areas of Probability theory, Applied
Stochastics, and Mathematics of Information. Applicants should have an
outstanding record of research accomplishments. Review of application
will begin on December 1, 2018.

We also plan to hire a postdoctoral fellow in Probability theory
starting in the summer of 2019. This is a 3-year positions with a
relatively low teaching load. Applicants should have obtained a recent
(normally no earlier than 2016) Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely
related discipline, or expect to complete one before the starting date.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent potential in research and teaching.
Review of applications will begin November 15, 2018, although
applications received after this date may still be considered.

Application is through mathjobs. All ads and full details may be seen at

https://www.mathjobs.org/jobs/UBC/

We especially welcome applications from women, visible minorities of
other groups under-represented in mathematics.
