Good Afternoon!
I write today to inquire as to whether your community is having issues
with excessive train noise.
We remain grateful for the expanded train service along the Hartford
Line, but are now convinced that the deafening decibel level and
frequency of train horns are a direct impediment to fulfilling our TOD
aspirations. Train horns can be heard clearly from 2 miles away in any
direction.
We are in the process of escalating the issue to State agencies and
Legislators. Is your community having a similar experience? Please let
me know as there is power in numbers.
Hope all is well...and...thanks in advance for your response.
Tim
