Good morning,
CT Municipal TIF legislation passed in 2015 through the efforts of CEDAS, CT Main Street Center, Pullman & Comley and Yale Law School. As the legislation turns 10, it would be great to know the impacts of this very flexible economic development tool. Several communities have adopted TIF districts including: Windsor Locks, New Britain, Suffield, Bristol, East Hampton, Canton, Old Saybrook, Groton, Cheshire, Bloomfield and Windsor. Communities exploring adoption are Norwalk, Bridgeport and East Hartford. Have other towns adopted TIF districts or are contemplating adoption? What areas of the community is the district(s) located?
Thanks in advance for any information provided.
Patrick
