OPM is currently advertising a few job opportunities. The
Environmental Intern position in the OPM Intergovernmental Policy Division may
be of particular interest to GIS folks that have some background in an environmental
field. Please note that the “Environmental Intern” title is
actually a formal job classification in state service (not your traditional
college internship), which entails a promotion to Environmental Analyst 1 after
successful completion of a 1-year training program. The starting salary for
the Environmental Intern is $38,588, based on a 35-hour work week, plus
an additional 5 hours of straight time overtime per week to be consistent with
OPM’s 40-hour work week.
The job opportunities are posted on OPM’s website at: http://www.ct.gov/opm/cwp/view.asp?a=3008&q=382838&opmNav=|.
Interested and qualified candidates must follow the application instructions in
order to be considered. Thanks -- Dan
