Good afternoon,

Do you know a young person who has expressed an interest in assisting others to achieve and maintain recovery?  If so, we have the perfect opportunity for giving back!

Please consider sharing this information so that we can establish a statewide network of peer-facilitated, young adult, recovery support groups that will provide the opportunity for young people within and outside the public mental health system to connect and achieve recovery.

NAMI Connecticut is seeking to train a group of young people from around the state to facilitate the newly developed Young Adult Connection Recovery Support Groups

Applicant Requirements:

1.      Between the ages of 18 through 29.

2.      In recovery from a behavioral health diagnosis (mental health and/or substance use)

4.      Able to commit to co-facilitating weekly support groups for a period of 6 months.

5.      Be available to participate in an evening monthly conference call.

6.      Must have access to the internet at least once a week.

7.      Must have reliable transportation (public or personal).
