Dear Shu-Ren,

You raise a seemingly intelligent but extremely uninformed question. An
examination of the posts and the archives will convince anyone engaged in a
careful examination of the data that this is, indeed, the current
manifestation of the "Educational Research and Methodology Listserv."

It will also convince you that most of the traffic over the last few years
has originated with Prof Hake, someone who has had a methodological issue
with the mainstream of educational psychology that traces back to a
disciplinary disposition to avoid 'test-retest' data. At least 50 years
ago most in ed psych were taught to avoid 'change scores' because they
have two sources of error and are thus less reliable than single assessment
data. The list now is primarily Prof. Hake advocating for his methods, both
his methods of teaching principally a physics curriculum and his methods of
assessment.

Do yourself a favor. Engage in a careful review of the archive. Check out
his personal pages also.
