Please plan to attend the 3rd annual Youth at the Capitol event: Raising the Grade: Improving Educational Opportunities for Youth in State Care Thursday, January 16, 2014, 8:50 am - 12:15 pm Registration begins at 8:30 am (a light breakfast will be served). Legislative Office Building, Room 2C, 300 Capitol Avenue, Hartford Youth-led discussion on educational challenges facing young people in the care of DCF or residing in Court Support Services facilities: * Listen to youth sharing their stories and ideas; * Learn the facts about the academic challenges and opportunities facing youth in State care; and * Discuss how we as educators, advocates, and community members can support opportunities and success for youth in State care.
