*International Students and Scholars at Graduate Business Learning Center (School of Business, downtown Hartford)*

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) will visit your campus for appointments and a workshop on  Thursday, February 20th. Please be advised that appointments and workshops at this campus are limited to students in the School of Business programs (must have key card to access the third floor). 

Appointments: 9 am to 2:30 pm, Room 310

Workshop on Post-Completion Optional Practical Training (OPT): 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm
This workshop provides an overview of the Optional Practical Training (OPT) benefit for students who will be graduating and wish to stay in the U.S. to gain practical experience related to their degree study through work, internship or similar type of training experience. We will cover rules and policies and application procedures. The workshop covers standard post-completion OPT, H-1B cap-gap extension of OPT as well as STEM extension of OPT. This session does not cover pre-completion OPT (OPT during degree study) or CPT. All GBLC international students who will graduate in May and intend to apply for post-completion OPT are highly encouraged to attend this workshop. Sign up is required to attend this workshop.
