Meg, The American Community Survey 5 Year Estimate provides income data at the block group level on an annual basis. While this data is available at the block group, you will notice some of the margins of error will be large due to the smaller sample size upon which these estimates are based. The latest version of the ACS 5 Year Estimates from 2012 are available via the American FactFinder (http://factfinder2.census.gov). The American FactFinder can be a bit cumbersome with extracting the block group level data, and the Connecticut State Data Center can pull these datasets in mapping friendly formats for Connecticut (that includes anyone on this listserv too).
