Hello Colleagues, I want to let you know that the 5th edition of *Educational Research: Quantitative, Qualitative, and Mixed Approaches* is now available. Go here (http://www.sagepub.com/bjohnson5e/study/default.htm) to see the many resources available for your students; just go to any of the 22 chapters to see the multiple resources (full lectures, journal articles, concept maps, practice quizzes, answers to review questions, video links, etc.). For the many instructor resources (powerpoints, 1600 multiple choice test bank, etc.) you can obtain a password through the website. In the new edition, I have added an early chapter on action research (Chapter 3) and I discuss action research at the end of the remaining chapters to make the material "relevant." I added a little more material on qualitative research to give it full balance. I added a few new terms such as RCT, autoethnography, nonmaleficence, and beneficence, and I updated all chapters to reflect current thinking in educational research. Here is the brief table of contents: *Part I: Introduction 1* 1. Introduction to Educational Research 2 2. Quantitative, Qualitative, and Mixed Research 29 3.
