Bob Chudy *********************************************************************************************************************************************************** Our Peace Group will meet (Tuesday, April 1), 7:00 PM at the Storrs Unitarian-Universalist Meetinghouse, 46 Spring Hill Road, off Route 195. Following a short business meeting, Naila Al Atrash will speak about the Syrian Civil War and its millions of refugees and displaced persons. Ms. Al Atrash is currently teaching film, directing and acting at UConn's Department of Dramatic Arts. She is there under the auspices of SAR (Scholars At Risk), a network of higher education institutions dedicated to protecting threatened scholars and promoting academic freedom worldwide. In addition to her illustrious career in film and acting, Ms. Al Atrash is a powerful human rights activist. Come and bring a friend! Light refreshments.
