The Center for Children's Advocacy will be hosting the first of three "Keep the Power On" utility clinics this spring on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 9:30a.m. to 1:00p.m. at Yale-New Haven Hospital, Special Events Room, 20 York Street, New Haven.  The clinic seeks to assist families who are facing utility termination.  At the clinic, participants will meet with volunteers who will discuss the attendees’ utility problems.  The volunteers will also provide participants with basic budgeting information around meeting basic expenses and will also give information around accessing community services and supports. United Illuminating and Southern Connecticut Gas will be on site to hopefully assist families with entering affordable payment arrangements.

Other community agencies will also be in attendance providing information and support including the Community Action Agency, Operation Fuel, UI’s Weatherization Program and the CARE Program.

Please circulate these flyers in Spanish and English to whomever you feel would benefit from the program.  If you have any questions or would like additional information please contact me.
