Olmstead v. L.C. was a landmark ruling from the Supreme Court that required states to eliminate unnecessary segregation of persons with disabilities and to ensure that persons with disabilities receive services in the most integrated setting appropriate to their needs.

HHS-DOJ is celebrating the 15th anniversary of Olmstead and the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act. For additional information about the program and to participate via live stream please see the notice below –

15th Anniversary of the Olmstead decision (1:00 PM - 2:30 PM EDT).
