Thanks! -Christian >>>>> Database/GIS Professional Haley & Aldrich is looking for a highly motivated and technically capable Database/GIS professional to join our Boston office. This position is within our Data Visualization Services Group, which collaborates closely with our colleagues and clients on challenging projects in the fields of geotechnical engineering, environmental geology, risk assessment, permitting, and sustainability. Our ideal candidate will be required to: - Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined in order to work effectively in an exciting, diverse, and fast-paced environment - Be outgoing, proactive, and responsive, skilled in effectively communication with colleagues and clients both in-person and virtually - Manage, update, and develop project geotechnical and environmental databases - Develop data queries to produce tables, graphs, and report figures - Approach each task, regardless of size and scope, as an opportunity rethink the conventional ways data is collected, managed, visualized, and delivered - Balance a high level of creativity while adhering to established company standards and best practices - Always be persistent and diligent about quality, both in their own work and the work of others - Support and coach other users of database and geospatial technologies throughout the organization - Stay actively engaged in the greater database/developer/GIS community, both locally and beyond, in order to be aware of the state of practice as well as opportunities for growth Required qualifications: - BS degree - Three to eight years as a database and/or GIS professional - Advanced skills using RDBMS, specifically SQL Server - ArcGIS for Desktop, including Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst - Strong written and oral communication skills for all levels of technical understanding Preferred qualifications: - Web- and mobile-map application development for commercial and open-source platforms - Consulting experience - EQuIS, ArcGIS for Server, Geocortex Essentials, ArcGIS Online - GPS- and tablet-based field-data collection, processing, and integration - Skills in producing detailed, concise, and high-quality cartographic output with a keen eye for aesthetics Please apply online here: https://re22.ultipro.com/BRE1001/JobBoard/JobDetails.aspx?__ID=*65900DFA2C35CB42 Company website: www.haleyaldrich.com<http://www.urs.com> ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This list (NEARC-L) is an unmoderated discussion list for all NEARC Users.
