The 2014 KIDS COUNT Data Book marks 25 years of the Annie E. Casey Foundation bringing attention to national and state-level data on the well-being of children. The 25th edition examines two major areas: 1) data from 1990, the first year the Data Book was published, that show the major trends in child well-being and 2) recent trends that compare data from years 2005 to 2012, and include state rankings. The recent trends show how kids are faring mid-decade prior to the economic crisis, compared to how they are doing in the aftermath.

Please join the Connecticut Association for Human Services for a conversation with state advocates and policy makers about how Connecticut's children are performing on measures related to poverty, housing, education, and community. An agenda, including a list of speakers and additional information, will be included in the invitation to follow.
