Willimantic 3rd Thursday Street Festival – Downtown Willimantic –August 21 – 6:00pm to 9:00pm Every third Thursday from May to September, thousands of people from far and wide stroll along Main Street, Willimantic amid a background of musical, theatrical, visual, gastronomic, and olfactory delights. Seven stages simultaneously host a wide variety of music and entertainment while over 100 vendors showcase a variety of handcrafted goods and services. 65th Annual Peach Festival – Main Street - Manchester – August 22 – 6:00pm to 8:00pm Peaches are the focus because when the event was originally planned, many other local communities featured strawberry shortcake fundraisers and organizers wanted to offer a different local treat. The peeling of 40 to 50 bushels of peaches is scheduled to start Friday.

Downriver Dixieland Music Cruise – Mystic Seaport – Mystic – August 23 – 5:30pm to 7:30pm Spend a summer evening enjoying a downriver cruise with foot-tapping Dixieland music from the Mystic River Mud Band aboard Sabino. Relax on deck as our 1908 steamboat glides down the channel and out to the mouth of the Mystic River. Our Dixieland cruises are a popular event each summer so be sure to reserve your spot early!
