Below please find a link to our web page which takes you to a guidance document recently released by DCF Commissioner Katz and SDE Commissioner Pryor concerning the application of the Uninterrupted Scholars Act here in Connecticut. The Uninterrupted Scholars Act is federal legislation requiring schools to share the educational records of a child when that child enters DCF custody. The joint guidance letter goes into detail about what staff/individuals at DCF are considered covered by the Act, as well as the importance of expeditious compliance with the records sharing provision .
