Family Weekend is an annual event that takes place each fall at the University of Connecticut. There are FREE events throughout the weekend for everyone, the full schedule can be found here: http://familyweekend.uconn.edu/

 

On Saturday, September 20, Cultural Explosion will be held on the CLAS Quad (next to the Austin Building) from 11:00am – 2:00pm.

Cultural Explosion is a celebration of diversity and will include performances by the following student groups: UConn Surya, UConn Irish, Alima, Husky Bhangra, Zeta Phi Beta, UConn Taiko, and much more!

You may be asking yourself “What is UConn Surya? Who is Alima? What’s Taiko?” These are all cultural groups made up of UConn community members. You can find samples of their performances on YouTube. Check them out!
