Upcoming Regional Campus ISSS Events: 9/18: STAMFORD An ISSS advisor is taking appointments and will hold a workshop on Post-completion OPT. Advising appointments are FULL but there is still room left in the Post-Completion OPT workshop. The Post-Completion OPT workshop is designed for students who are in their final semester or final year of study, who are thinking about working or interning in the United States after graduation through the F-1 visa Optional Practical Training (OPT) benefit. This will also cover Cap-Gap and STEM extensions of OPT. This workshop is given once each semester at Stamford campus. Students who will graduate in December and have not yet attended a workshop are strongly encouraged to attend. Sign up is required if you will attend! If you have a question or need to apply for a benefit like a travel signature, OPT or CPT, then please make an appointment to meet with an ISSS advisor. Please bring all required paperwork. This is one of two planned trips to Avery Point campus this semester. Advising appointments are FULL but there is still limited space left in the Pre-Completion Practical Training workshop. If you need an appointment on the 25th, keep checking back on the appointment schedule because someone may cancel. Otherwise please schedule an appointment for the next ISSS visit in October. The Pre-Completion Practical Training workshop is designed for students who are in their second semester of study or later, and who are thinking about doing an internship BEFORE graduation. This will cover Curricular Practical Training (CPT) for academic internships as well as Pre-Completion Optional Practical Training (OPT) for internships that are related to your studies but not required to graduate.
