I actually have a student working on that very question here on our campus this fall.  He did a little preliminary work describing light intensity at set distances, but his next round is to look at the limits of the cone.  I’ll send a note back when he gets some measurements done.  In theory, he’ll also be looking at exterior building and pedestrian lighting.

 

 

 

This also depends on how tall the light pole is.  FYI…HPS = High Pressure Sodium, MV = Mercury Vapor, INC = Incandescent.  FLD = Floodlights are going to be aimed out, and RWY = Roadways are going to be aimed down.
