5th Annual Greater Hartford Children’s Latino Film Festival – “Human Rights is For All” - Hartford – October 24 -
25 This festival showcases Latino and global youth themed art films including shorts, animations,
documentaries, and full-length feature films for children ages three to eighteen free of charge. The project concept is based on utilizing art cinema as a powerful agent of change by exposing youth to films that nurture innovative and critical thinking, celebrate
imagination, and promote positive cultural/human values that empower them to reach their fullest potential.
We are enthusiastic to collaborate again this year with Cinestudio, a Hartford community landmark of art cinema for over forty years. With its 70 mm state of the art projection capacity,
Cinestudio is sure to mesmerize our young audience. This year’s program will introduce a new film series called “Human Rights For All” for youth ages 8 to 18. The series will focus on human rights themes affecting children globally that raise awareness about
the plight of many youth facing political, economic and social injustices today. In addition, we will continue to have the “Tiny Tots” (ages 3 to 7) and “Young Globetrotters” (ages 8 to 18) series that include films from Brazil, Chile, Venezuela, India,
Mozambique, Canada and the U.S. http://ghclff.com/pages/about.asp
