P. Davis Auditorium in the Schapiro Center at Columbia University on November 20th and 21st, 2014. The speakers are: * Louigi Addario-Berry (McGill University) "Growing random trees, maps, and squarings." * Elizabeth Meckes (Case Western Reserve University) "Uniformity of eigenvalues of some random matrices" * Timo Seppalainen (University of Wisconsin-Madison) "Variational formulas for directed polymer and percolation models" * Melanie Wood (University of Wisconsin-Madison) "The distribution of sandpile groups of random graphs" As at the previous seminars, there will time allowed for short, informal talks and discussion sessions. Our primary purpose is to provide networking and mentoring opportunities for early career women. Our activities are funded by the NSF. We can offset costs for women graduate student and postdoc dinner attendees.
