21st Annual Train Show – Connecticut River Museum – Essex – 67 Main Street - November 21 – 10:00am
The magic returns with the 21st Annual Holiday Train Show. The family-friendly exhibit, created by train artist Steve Cryan,
features more trains, new scenery, and lots of surprises to be found in the fully operational 26-foot model train layout. Visitors are challenged to complete the I SPY Scavenger Hunt of various objects hidden within the settings while the smaller visitor
set can get hands-on at an American Flyer and Lionel Train layout designed for toddler size viewing. The exhibit is a true locomotive extravaganza and a perfect outing for train fans and all who are young at heart.

World Turkey-Eating Championship - Foxwoods Casino -

At last, a contest for those who can never get their fill of turkey. Major League Eating and Foxwoods have teamed up for a World Turkey-Eating
Championship. This pre-Thanksgiving celebration, in Foxwoods' Grand Pequot Ballroom, pits champion eaters against entire turkeys in a battle of technique, speed, capacity and Thanksgiving spirit — all in 10 grueling minutes — for a total cash purse of $10,000
(First prize is $5,000.) Registration for eaters is closed, but there is plenty of room for spectators. Admission is free. Information:
