JS Stratford Housing Authority - Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program Notice of Acceptance of Preliminary Applications for the Wait List Postmarked NO EARLIER THAN November 12, 2014 and NO LATER than November 14, 2014 The Stratford Housing Authority (SHA) is accepting Preliminary Applications (Pre-applications) for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program. The Section 8 HCV Program is a federally-funded program to subsidize decent, safe, and sanitary housing for very-low income persons. Applicants must meet all U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development income and eligibility guidelines. The Stratford Housing Authority will use a Random-Draw Lottery System to determine the order of each preliminary application on the wait list, and a minimum of 300 preliminary applications will be drawn. Those chosen in the lottery will be notified BY MAIL no later than February 27, 2015.
