I am teaching, through Pace University, a free 12-week Desktop GIS course online. It starts January 26 and ends April 18. An electronic badge (bronze, silver or gold) can be earned after successfully completing each section. A certificate will be awarded to those who complete the course. A book is recommended, but not required, so the course can be completed at no cost. The medium of most instruction will be narrated step-by-step screencasts of GIS operations. Most assignments will take about two hours each week.
