I take back what I said, to change the logo you need to use the attributes tab on the web app builder.
This has been a “fun” day...

I solved half my question. To change the icon in the header bar using the Web App builder you have to load a widget into the header bar before you can change the icon.

Subject: [CTGIS-L] ArcGIS Online question
I made a web map on ArcGIS Online but it would be much better as a web application. When I use the web app builder I can add a splash screen (among other widgets) but can’t change the logo image or do much of anything with the layout.
When I use a template I can alter the look and feel and get some nice functionality but I can’t get a splash screen widget (which I need for a click-through disclaimer). The templates allow you to add a .zip file for code but from what I’m reading if you
customize a template you have to host in on your own server. At this moment in time I don’t have a web server.
Does anyone know how to do any of the following?
1)
change the logo/icon for a web application made using the web app builder
2)
add a splash screen to a web application template
OR
3)
Know a better (yet still free) solution?
