We are looking to possibly replace our large format printer and are at a crossroads. We are trying to decide if we need the PostScript option with a printer (adds $1000's to cost). My question to the group is whether or not it is necessary for printing GIS maps and posters? We mainly print directly from ArcMap or a Microsoft product (ex. Visio) or print a PDF version of either. Sometimes this print jobs require printing images, like orthos. Thanks.
