Greetings,
International Student & Scholar Services is pleased to announce our annual Spring Bus Trip to Newport, Rhode Island!
Newport is a beautiful town located in coastal Rhode Island (the smallest state in the U.S.!) with many things to see.
Newport is home to many interesting old mansions that are now open to the public for tours, a wide variety of restaurants, beautiful walking areas and much more!
The trip to Newport will be on Saturday, April 11. We will leave Storrs at 8:00 a.m. and travel to Newport (approximately 1.5 hour ride). Upon arrival you will be free to explore until 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $25 and are available at the International Center.
Ticket purchases may be made at the following times:
Mon/Wed from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Tues/Thurs from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Tickets will not be available outside of these designated times.
Payment must be made using a personal check or money order made out to University of Connecticut.
Money orders are available at the U.S. Post Office. Visit
https://www.usps.com/shop/money-orders.htm for more information.
All tickets are non-refundable
and the trip will be held rain or shine. It is important to dress appropriately for the day, remember to bring warm clothing as it tends to be cooler in the morning and evening hours. Also, be conscious of the weather report and bring a rain jacket
or umbrella if necessary. Due to a limited number of seats, this trip is open only to current UConn students and scholars (and their dependents if any). Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis and will sell out! Get your tickets soon!
