Key responsibilities include:
Outreach
* Develop and implement plan for educational outreach in support of public policies that improve opportunities for children and families.
* Identify, develop, and schedule opportunities for educational presentations on research and public policy issues for advocacy partners, service providers, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
* Assist with planning educational forums and conferences.
* Facilitate the management of ongoing relationships with existing partners and leverage those relationships for greater impact.
Development
* Create and implement a comprehensive development plan, including timeline for funding opportunities.
* Partner with Board members and Executive Director to expand philanthropic reach. Assist the Executive Director in developing cultivation strategies for Board of Directors and ensuring Board is well-prepared to leverage its cultivation opportunities.
* Arrange for meetings with current and prospective donors and assist in development of presentations that represent the work and interests of Connecticut Voices for Children.
* Assist in preparing for and implementing all development events. Organize fundraising and stewardship events, including house parties.
