Outreach and Development Associate, a newly-created position that will increase our capacity in the areas of outreach and fundraising.
Key responsibilities include:
Outreach
- Develop and implement plan for educational outreach in support of public policies that improve opportunities for children and families.
- Identify, develop, and schedule opportunities for educational presentations on research and public policy issues for advocacy partners, service providers, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with planning educational forums and conferences.
- Facilitate the management of ongoing relationships with existing partners and leverage those relationships for greater impact.
Development
- Create and implement a comprehensive development plan, including timeline for funding opportunities.
- Partner with Board members and Executive Director to expand philanthropic reach. Assist the Executive Director in developing cultivation strategies for Board of Directors and ensuring Board is well-prepared to leverage its cultivation opportunities.
- Arrange for meetings with current and prospective donors and assist in development of presentations that represent the work and interests of Connecticut Voices for Children.
- Assist in preparing for and implementing all development events. Organize fundraising and stewardship events, including house parties.
