Outreach and Development Associate, a newly-created position that will increase our capacity in the areas of outreach and fundraising.

Key responsibilities include:

Outreach

Develop and implement plan for educational outreach in support of public policies that improve opportunities for children and families.
Identify, develop, and schedule opportunities for educational presentations on research and public policy issues for advocacy partners, service providers, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
Assist with planning educational forums and conferences.
Facilitate the management of ongoing relationships with existing partners and leverage those relationships for greater impact.

Development

Create and implement a comprehensive development plan, including timeline for funding opportunities.
Partner with Board members and Executive Director to expand philanthropic reach. Assist the Executive Director in developing cultivation strategies for Board of Directors and ensuring Board is well-prepared to leverage its cultivation opportunities.
Arrange for meetings with current and prospective donors and assist in development of presentations that represent the work and interests of Connecticut Voices for Children.
Assist in preparing for and implementing all development events. Organize fundraising and stewardship events, including house parties.
