. . . kindergartners and preschool children are routinely getting suspended.  In fact, the percentage is the highest it has ever been in the state.  Around 1,200 students were suspended in the 2013-14 school year, which is a 22 percent increase . . .lawyer Kathryn Meyer of the Center for Children's Advocacy, is fighting for a better solution. There is a bill that would prevent any student under the age of 8 from out-of-school suspension punishments . . .
