Hi NEARCers!

Looking for some guidance. Our small office will soon be making changes to how our computer network is setup. Currently we own 2 concurrent licenses of ArcGIS Desktop Basic, which are hosted on a terminal server on-site. We are considering getting rid of our servers in-house and moving to a more cloud based system. We have 6 users who know ArcGIS, but only 2 or 3 of us use it regularly.

My question is this: does ArcGIS have a fully functional Cloud based solution for ArcGIS?

It seems to me that ArcGIS online, while quite capable of displaying and sharing data, might not be able to do data analysis, manipulation and creation very well (or at all).
I’ve read a little about Amazon Cloud services, but not enough to understand it.
Obviously we know we could go back to installing ArcGIS locally on each user’s PC, and that may be our fall back option if no other option works for us.

The cost of the solution will likely drive our decision.

Thanks in advance!
Chris
