Good Morning Everyone, I am working on a project to understand distance-to-care in rural region with limited official/recognized roads – the area is mostly highland. We are using Euclidean distance and Cost distance to measure distance-to-care. I was curious if anyone can explain to me the magnitude of discrepancy between cost distance and actual travel distances in rural regions or limitations of cost distance method. For those in academia, any literature suggestion to understand the magnitude of discrepancy between cost distances and actual travel distances?
