Then click the "Edit" button in the dialogue and choose Geographic Coordinate System/North America/NAD83. That should do it. Peter N. I have an excel sheet with these columns: OBJECTID LAT_DD LONG_DD 1 44.10 -73.52 2 43.92 -73.62 3 41.37 -74.20 ETC. ETC. ETC. I keep getting this (see below) when I try to Add XY Data in ArcMap: [cid:[log in to unmask]] When I just click OK, no matter how I have the fields formatted, what I call OBJECTID, if I switch the XY field, if I switch the negative sign to the other column, I get the same warning, and the points do not show up where they should. If I manually enter them in, they locate fine. I have also tried editing a new feature class directly and creating a feature class from the data in ArcCatalog to no avail. What else can I try? Thanks, Jennifer M.
