Welcome to UConn!
Please remember that upon arrival at the university, all F-1 students are required to check in with International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS). This check in process is done online by visiting http://isss.uconn.edu/check-in/


To complete your check in, you will need to visit the link http://isss.uconn.edu/check-in/. You need to have all your documents in electronic format (.pdf or .jpg).  If you have a smart phone you may take a picture of your documents or you can use a scanner in the library.  In the library, go to LEVEL 1 and there are scanners available to students for free in the Skybox Suites.  http://lib.uconn.edu/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/FloorMap_Level1.pdf

You will need to have electronic copies of all your immigration documents ready.  If you need Please follow the instructions on the page and upload the following documents:

-          I-20

-          Passport biographical page

-          Visa page in passport

-          Entry stamp in passport

-          I-94 admission printout (found here: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html)

-          If you have dependents with you, provide the same documents for them.


Online check in must be done as soon as possible after arriving.

Please note that ALL F-1 students are required to attend the F-1 regulations session as a part of orientation as well as check in with ISSS. If you do not attend orientation and check in with our office, your F-1 status will not be active and you will not be able to study and stay in the U.S.  There is no exception to this rule.
