Children with sickle cell disease can face extraordinary challenges navigating the educational system.

A special program at Connecticut Children's Medical Center will help families understand how to navigate school systems from preschool through college.

August 18 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, Rooms C and D (cafeteria level)

The Center for Children's Advocacy, in conjunction with Citizens for Quality Sickle Cell Care, will provide information to help families advocate for their children.  

Justice Department Attorney Vanessa Avery will be the evening's guest presenter.
