There may be Connecticut GIS users living near the NY State border who might be interested in travelling to Poughkeepsie to attend this open-to-public session. This introductory workshop explains the differences between ACS and Decennial data, shows how to get the data, and how to download data and shapefiles together. I try to make my workshops very hands-on, so it is best to bring a laptop. The library has some computers for those without laptops. (Hopefully there will not be a government shut-down.)
