Greetings, International Student & Scholar Services is pleased to announce a Fall Bus Trip to the Big E Fair in Springfield, Massachusetts! Known as, “New England’s Great State Fair”, the Big E is the largest agricultural event on the eastern seaboard and is the fifth-largest fair in the nation. Music, Entertainment, Rides, Food & Drink, Shopping, Car Shows, Pig Races, Exhibits, Animals, and More !!! The Bus to the Big E will be on Tuesday, September 29, 2015. The Bus will depart Storrs at 4:00 p.m. and leave the Big E at 9:45 p.m. Bus Tickets are $15 and available at (ISSS) International Student & Scholar Services (McMahon Hall - Room 183). Admission Tickets to the Big E will cost $15 and be paid directly to the Big E upon arrival (this is in addition to the $15 bus ticket). Tickets can be purchased online at http://isss.uconn.edu/2015/09/14/isss-fall-bus-trip-to-the-big-e/ or in person at ISSS, see details below. Ticket may be purchased in person at ISSS during the following times: Mon/Wed. from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tues./Thurs./Fri. from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tickets will not be available outside of these designated times. Payments in person must be made using a personal check or money order made out to University of Connecticut. Money orders are available at the Storrs U.S. Post Office. All tickets are non-refundable and the trip will be held rain or shine. It is important to dress appropriately for the day, remember to bring warm clothing as it tends to be cooler in the evening hours. Also, be conscious of the weather report and bring a rain jacket or umbrella if necessary. Due to a limited number of seats, this trip is open only to current UConn students and scholars (and their dependents if any). Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis and will sell out! Get your tickets soon!
