09/25/2015 – UConn Field Hockey – International Student Night – Wear your UConn Husky gear and come cheer on the four-time national champion UConn Field Hockey team!  There will be prizes for up to 40 International Students (tickets for free Moo Yah Burgers and Moe’s Burritos).  Game starts at 6:00 p.m. at track and field directly behind the Field House (Sherman Family-Sports Complex).  See photos and learn more about the Field Hockey team online here: http://www.uconnhuskies.com/sports/w-fieldh/conn-w-fieldh-body-main.html

 

09/29/2015 – BIG E Country Fair – Visit New England’s Great State Fair!  Rides! Games! Food! Shopping!  Parade! Agriculture Exhibits and Food/Products from all six states in New England.   You definitely need to visit the Connecticut Building. 09/30/2015 – Coffee Hour – Come to ISSS each month  for coffee, tea, snacks, conversation and music.  Meet the ISSS staff, other UConn students, conversation partners and stay for information on UConn events, workshops, trainings, trips, activities for International Students.  Wednesday 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.  ISSS Lounge in McMahon Hall, main floor above the Dining Hall. Relax and have fun at Coffee Hour!

 

10/18/2015 – Newport, Rhode Island – Newport is a beautiful seaside town located in Rhode Island (the smallest state in the U.S.) with many shops, restaurants, historical museums and mansions to tour.  Visit the beach, walk the cliff walk, tour a mansion and be sure to visit the 25th Annual Seafood Festival at Bowen’s Wharf – free admission. International Chat -meets every other week starting 9/16/2015

Meetings happen in a comfortable living-room sharing style and cover a variety of topics, day-to-day tips about living abroad, general information and resources. Do you ever ask yourself the following questions “How do I…? Where do I…? What does ___Mean?” This is a chance for students and scholars to get answers to these questions, exchange cultural experiences, music, food, festivities and network..... Join us!!!!
