The Practical Training Workshops for the UConn Regional Campuses (Stamford and GBLC) are now posted!

If you are an international student at the Stamford or Graduate Business Learning Center in downtown Hartford you can now register for a practical training workshop. You must register in advance. To register, go to www.icworkshops.uconn.edu. Space is limited, reserve now!

Post-Completion Optional Practical Training (OPT)

Are you graduating this year? Do you want to look for an internship or job in the U.S. after you finish your degree? If yes, you should attend the Post-Completion OPT workshop. The workshop will cover the basics on OPT application procedures, work authorization, work requirements and OPT extension opportunities.

Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from  2:30pm-4pm– Classroom 407 at the Graduate Business Learning Center in downtown Hartford

Pre-Completion Practical Training (OPT and CPT)

Are you looking for internships off-campus? Does your academic program have a required internship or practicum? You MUST have proper work authorization before you can start any off-campus internships or practicum. This workshop will discuss the difference between CPT and Pre-Completion OPT and the application procedures for both.

Tuesday, October 27, 2015 2:30pm-4pm– Observation Deck at the Graduate Business Learning Center in downtown Hartford

Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 12:30pm-2pm- ROOM 133 at the UConn Stamford Campus

*If you are a student from another UConn regional campus or if you are a student who cannot attend these workshops, you may schedule an advising appointment at your campus to discuss practical training for internships and work after graduation.
