Just for the record, Esri released this today referencing the technical article and reiterating its recommendation.

Sean, and everyone else, thanks very much for the responses.

The general response was ArcGIS seems to work fine on Windows 10, but as with all new releases, there are no guarantees.

I've opted not to install Windows 10 until a later date (see message below).

Coincidentally, Esri released the following technical article the same day as the original message in this thread:

 

                FAQ:  Is Windows 10 certified with Esri's ArcGIS products?

 

For what it’s worth, it includes this recommendation:

            Customers should not install Windows 10 for use with ArcGIS 10.3.x Desktop at this time until testing and certification is complete.
