I am not certain whether or not I am posting on the correct Listserve - so please let me know if I am not.

I have a zoning question.  I have been told that there was a court case that upheld setback lines as drawn on an approved subdivision map for new building permits.  Consequently, if the town has a current setback regulation of 50 feet for all yards applicable to rear lots, but the approved subdivision map shows 25 foot side yard setbacks, the Town has to permit that.  Can anyone confirm this?
