GIS Manager
The Town of Dedham seeks qualified candidates for the position of GIS Manager. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the municipal GIS for the Town of Dedham in a highly responsible, professional, managerial, administrative,
technical, and analytical position which is responsible for providing management, leadership, vision, coordination and operation of the Town of Dedham’s Geographic Information System.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree from a four-year college or university with major work in geography, information systems, cartography or related field with a concentration in GIS technology.
- A minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible experience in professional GIS positions including supervisory responsibilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Esri products to include ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Online.
- Knowledge and proficiency with GPS technology and GPS data collection devices.
- Experience with RDBMS, specifically Microsoft SQL Server.
- Understanding of Esri ArcSDE technology to include versioning and replication.
- Experience with Python scripting
- Demonstrated knowledge of web programming including HTML5, CSS and Javascript
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills, must be able to handle conflicting priorities.
Desirables
- Programming experience with Microsoft .NET, Esri ArcObjects and ArcEngine
- Experience with Cartegraph or similar work order management system
- Understanding of Oracle.
- Experience with municipal government.
Salary range is $67,503 to $82,701 with excellent fringe benefits.
