Please join NEGIS and special guests Mark Scott and Tom Schwartzman of Esri for a hands-on workshop, Mobile Data Workflows Using Collector for ArcGIS!
Collector for ArcGIS is an app running on iOS or Android devices, which allows you to collect data in the field and submit it via a portal to ArcGIS for Server or ArcGIS
Online. In this workshop, Mark and Tom will review ArcGIS Online Organizations, set up each attendee with an ArcGIS Online username and enable a map for field editing. Attendees will be assigned to groups, access the map on their own devices and then go outside
to collect data. If weather does not cooperate, we will collect data indoors. The groups will reconvene and look at the results in a dashboard.
IMPORTANT:
This is a bring your own device (BYOD) workshop. Attendees must bring an iPhone, iPad, or Android phone or tablet with Collector installed on it.
Collector may be downloaded here.
Registration: $25 for students, $35 for all others. The registration fee includes lunch and the remainder of the fee is used to fund scholarships for students seeking a GIS career.
